Checking your browser's privacy signal…

Do we sell or share your personal information?

No. PolicyVera does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Your information goes only to the licensed insurance agents you choose to request quotes from, to a referring mortgage lender when you consent, and to the service providers that run the Platform. That is true regardless of any fees insurance professionals pay PolicyVera for using the Platform — disclosures you direct are not a “sale” under state privacy law, and your details are never exchanged with anyone you did not choose — as described in our Privacy Policy.

We already honor Global Privacy Control browser signals today: if your browser sends one while you are signed in, we record an opt-out of sale or sharing on your account (see the status above), and you can opt out manually on this page at any time. If our practices ever change in a way that qualifies as a “sale” or “sharing” under California law, your recorded opt-out will be enforced before any such practice touches your information.

Your rights as a California resident

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share personal information)
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we use sensitive information only to arrange the insurance quotes you request)
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

Residents of other states with privacy laws have similar rights; we honor requests from any state.

How to exercise your rights

  • Delete your data: use the deletion feature in your account settings — personal accounts or business accounts — deletion is processed immediately.
  • Any other request (access, correction, opt-out, or questions): email privacy@policyvera.com. You do not need an account to submit a request.

We will verify your request using the contact information associated with your account or your request, and respond within the timelines California law requires.

What deletion removes — and what we must keep

Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, documents and uploaded files, messages, and quote requests. It cannot be undone.

State insurance record-keeping laws require a licensed insurance business to keep records of its insurance transactions, and privacy laws allow us to keep information needed to meet that legal obligation. When your account is deleted, we keep:

  • A limited transaction record — your name and email, the coverage line, carrier, premium, deductible and limits, key dates, and the state — for each insurance transaction on your account
  • A record of your deletion request and our response, which California privacy regulations require us to keep

These records are stored separately with restricted access, are used for nothing beyond meeting those record-keeping obligations, and are deleted after 7 years.

Notice at collection

The categories of personal information we collect, the purposes we use them for, and how long we keep them are described in our Notice at Collection.
