For people who use an AI assistant
Connect PolicyVera to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok or any assistant that can use outside tools. It gathers what insurance agents need, you sign in from the chat, you pick the licensed local agents who see your request, and their quotes come back in the chat. No form to fill.
Free Quotes first. Direct contact only after you accept a quote Nothing is sold or bound in the chat
Your assistant needs one of these two addresses. A “connector” is a connection your assistant can use; most assistants have a place to paste one.
For assistants that open a sign-in window: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and the coding tools.
For Grok, and any assistant that cannot sign you in: paste it into the chat, and PolicyVera emails you a code.
What happens next
Your name, the home or the cars, whether each is insured today, your email and phone. The list is the same one PolicyVera's own site uses. Drop in your current declarations pages and your assistant reads them so you type less.
When you add PolicyVera (in ChatGPT, when it first needs your account), a window from the chat opens policyvera.com: sign in, or create your free account with a code to your email, or use Google. After that you are not asked again. You read PolicyVera's client agreement and say yes. You pick which licensed local insurance agents see your request from a list in PolicyVera's own order, never ranked, and you see exactly what they will see before anything is sent. In an assistant that cannot open that window (Grok), PolicyVera emails you a code and you read it in the chat.
Quotes appear as insurance agents send them. PolicyVera doesn't rank or recommend. Ask your assistant "Check my PolicyVera quotes and messages" whenever you like; PolicyVera also emails you when a quote arrives.
It's free, and insurance agents are not allowed to call, text or email you outside PolicyVera until you accept them as your new agent or ask them to contact you.
Pick your assistant
Each button opens the place in your assistant to add PolicyVera. The steps below are the assistants' own, as of October 2026; they change their menus from time to time.
Claude opens the dialog with the address filled in, and you confirm.
Every Claude plan can add it, the free plan included (one custom connector).
Custom servers connect in Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, on the web. PolicyVera is not in ChatGPT's directory yet.
Or add PolicyVera once at grok.com/connectors (opens in a new tab) with https://policyvera.com/api/mcp, and sign in there when Grok asks.
If your assistant cannot open a sign-in window, paste https://policyvera.com/api/mcp/chat into the chat instead: PolicyVera emails you a code.
Using a coding tool?
Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http policyvera https://policyvera.com/api/mcp
Codex: codex mcp add policyvera --url https://policyvera.com/api/mcp
Then just ask
“I just got my renewal letter and my homeowners premium jumped. Shop it with PolicyVera. I'm in Boise, 83702.”
“We're buying a house in Meridian, Idaho. Start homeowners quotes with PolicyVera and tell me what the insurance agents will need from me.”
“Get me auto insurance quotes with PolicyVera for two cars in Nampa, Idaho.”
The fine print, in plain words
Licensed insurance agents who hold a license in your state. PolicyVera is the marketplace; it does not sell, solicit, negotiate, or bind insurance and provides no insurance advice.
Quotes are non-binding estimates; the final premium is set by the insurer's underwriting after you apply. Quotes appear as insurance agents send them. PolicyVera doesn't rank or recommend.
Only the licensed insurance agents you pick, and they are not allowed to call, text or email you outside PolicyVera until you accept them as your new agent or ask them to contact you.
It runs under its own company's terms and privacy policy. What you type to it is between you and them; what it sends PolicyVera is the request you asked it to start, after your yes at each step.
For details, see PolicyVera's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Security page.
No. Insurance agents are not allowed to call, text or email you outside PolicyVera until you accept them as your new agent or ask them to contact you.
Ask your assistant: "Which states does PolicyVera serve?" It lists the states where licensed insurance agents are ready to quote today; a state missing from the list has no licensed agent ready on PolicyVera today.
PolicyVera is free.
Yes, a free one. In the window that opens from your assistant, sign in or create your account with a code to your email, with Google, or with your password if you have one. You do it once; everything else stays in your assistant. In an assistant that cannot open that window (Grok), PolicyVera emails you the code and your account is made in the chat.
Today, in a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, with the address https://policyvera.com/api/mcp. On the web: open Plugins, choose +, then Add custom MCP server, and paste the address. Choose OAuth and create the plugin; install it and sign in on policyvera.com when it asks. PolicyVera is not in ChatGPT's directory yet.
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose PolicyVera and press Connect (or Reconnect). If your assistant can't open a sign-in window, paste https://policyvera.com/api/mcp/chat into the chat instead: PolicyVera emails you a code. Still stuck? Submit a ticket from the Help center; a person on our team reads every one.
Look in your spam folder for the email from PolicyVera. If your account has a password, choose Sign in with your password instead, or use Google.
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose PolicyVera, then Disconnect. Or on PolicyVera: Settings, then Sessions, then Disconnect beside your assistant. Your account, requests and quotes stay on PolicyVera.
Use your assistant's card above to add PolicyVera, then ask it to shop your insurance. Licensed local insurance agents quote; you pick; nothing leaves the chat until you say so.
