What is PolicyVera?
PolicyVera is a technology marketplace that connects clients looking for insurance coverage with independently licensed, verified agents. Clients can upload their current policy, receive competitive quotes from multiple agents, and view extracted data side-by-side โ€” all while keeping their personal information private until they choose to share it. PolicyVera is not an insurance company, broker, or agent โ€” all insurance transactions happen directly between you and your chosen licensed agent.
How do I create an account?
Click 'Register' on the login page and choose whether you're a Client or an Agent. Clients can start shopping for quotes immediately after verifying their email and completing their insurance profile. Agents will need to provide their license information and be verified by our team before receiving quote requests.
Is PolicyVera free to use?
Yes, PolicyVera is free for clients. There are no fees to create an account, upload policies, request quotes, or compare coverage options. Agents may have platform fees associated with binding policies.

For Clients

How do I get insurance quotes?
After creating your insurance profile, go to the Shop page. You can either send a quote request to all verified agents at once, or select specific agents. Choose the coverage types you need (auto, home, etc.) and agents will respond with competitive quotes.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. Your identity and contact details are kept private. Agents only see anonymized information when they receive quote requests. Your personal details are only shared with an agent after you explicitly grant them contact permission.
How do I compare quotes?
Once you've received quotes from multiple agents, use the Compare page to view them side-by-side. Our AI extracts factual details like coverage limits, premiums, and deductibles and presents them in a structured format. Note: AI data summaries are for informational purposes only and do not constitute insurance advice or recommendations. Always consult directly with a licensed agent before making coverage decisions.
What happens after I accept a quote?
After accepting a quote, you can grant the agent contact permission so they can reach out to you directly. The agent will then work with you to bind the policy. Your quote request will be closed and other agents will be notified.
Can I upload my current insurance policy?
Yes! Go to your Insurance Profile page and upload your current policy documents. Our system will automatically extract key details like carrier name, policy dates, and premium amounts. This information helps agents provide more accurate quotes.
What does 'Grant Contact Permission' mean?
When you grant contact permission to an agent, you're allowing them to see your real name, email, and phone number so they can reach out to you directly. You choose which contact methods to allow (call, text, or email). You're always in control.

For Agents

How do I get verified as an agent?
After registering as an agent and providing your license information, our admin team will review your credentials. Once verified, you'll start receiving quote requests from clients in your licensed states. Verification typically takes 1-2 business days.
How do I receive quote requests?
Once verified, you'll automatically receive quote requests from clients who either broadcast to all agents or specifically select you. You'll receive email notifications and can view all requests on your dashboard.
How do I submit a quote?
When you receive a quote request, click on it to view the client's coverage needs. You can then submit one or more quotes with details like premium, deductible, coverage limits, and carrier information. You can also upload supporting documents and record a video message.
When do I see the client's contact information?
You'll only see a client's contact information after they explicitly grant you contact permission. This typically happens after they've accepted your quote. The client chooses which contact methods to allow.
How does the rating system work?
After a policy is bound, clients can rate their experience with you on a 1-5 star scale. Your average rating is displayed on your profile and in the agent shop, helping you attract more clients.
